Handover dossier

Documents we hand over

Every delivery — whether a factory-fresh new vehicle or a vetted classic — concludes with a complete dossier of papers, keys and certificates. The list below shows exactly what changes hands at signing.

New vehicles (factory order or stock)

For new vehicles ordered through our manufacturer channels, the dossier is prepared by the producing plant and verified by us before handover.

  • Certificate of Conformity (CoC)

EU type approval, required for first registration anywhere in the EEA.

  • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II (Fahrzeugbrief)

Original title document, issued in the buyer's name.

  • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I (Fahrzeugschein)

Registration certificate — supplied if we handle first registration on your behalf.

  • Original sales contract & invoice

Itemised, with VAT shown separately and chassis number printed.

  • Manufacturer warranty card & service booklet

Activated in your name from the date of handover.

  • Owner's manual and on-board literature

Printed and/or digital, in the requested language.

  • All keys delivered by the factory

Typically two physical keys plus, where applicable, a digital key card.

  • Tyre pressure label & spare wheel documentation

Including tyre repair kit certificate where no spare is supplied.

  • Battery & high-voltage system certificate (EVs/PHEVs)

State of health, charging cable inventory, wall-box compatibility note.

  • First-inspection voucher

Pre-paid service appointment with the nearest authorised partner.

Pre-owned & classic vehicles

For used and collector vehicles we add documentation that proves provenance, technical condition and legal status before the car leaves our showroom.

  • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil II (Fahrzeugbrief)

Original, ownership chain verified and transferred to the buyer.

  • Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I (Fahrzeugschein)

Where the vehicle remains registered for collection; otherwise de-registration confirmation.

  • Notarised sales contract

German/English bilingual on request, with full chassis and engine numbers.

  • HU/AU report (TÜV) — current

Valid main inspection and emissions report, or fresh inspection on request.

  • Complete service history

Stamped service book, workshop invoices and electronic service records.

  • Independent condition report

Prepared by our master technician: paint thickness map, underbody, mechanicals, road test.

  • Provenance & ownership chain

Previous owners, mileage corroboration, accident-free declaration or full accident disclosure.

  • Originality / matching-numbers certificate

For classic vehicles, including factory build sheet (Datenkarte) where available.

  • All keys handed over by the previous owner

Master, valet and any spare keys; immobiliser status verified.

  • Accessories inventory

Tool kit, jack, spare wheel, code cards, removable hardtops, original wheels, period literature.

Handed over with every vehicle

Independent of the vehicle's age or category, the following items are always part of the dossier.

  • Detailed handover protocol

Signed by both parties, with mileage, fuel/charge level and photographic record.

  • EU declaration of conformity / data sheet

Technical specifications, emissions class, dimensions and weights.

  • Insurance confirmation (eVB number)

On request: we coordinate with your broker so the car is insured the moment you drive off.

  • Concierge contact card

Direct line to your account manager for the first 12 months.

Export & international transactions

When the vehicle leaves Germany, the dossier is extended with the documents required by customs and the destination authority.

  • Commercial export invoice

VAT-exempt where applicable, with Incoterm and chassis number.

  • Export plates & temporary registration (Ausfuhrkennzeichen)

Including insurance for the transit period.

  • T1 / EUR.1 / customs documents

Issued and lodged by our forwarder, copies retained for your records.

  • Bill of lading or CMR consignment note

For sea or road transport, with tracking reference.

  • Translated registration package

Certified translations of CoC, title and service history into the destination language on request.

How the handover works

We schedule a personal appointment at our showroom in Kiel or — for international deliveries — at the agreed destination. Together we walk through the vehicle, verify each item against the dossier, sign the handover protocol and transfer the keys. A digital copy of every document is stored in your client portal afterwards.

Missing a specific document?

If your registration authority, leasing company or insurer requires a paper we have not listed, contact us before the handover and we will obtain it.
